History

Edayathangudy G.S. Pillay Arts and Science College (EGSPASC) was established in 1996 in Thethi Village, Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, under the stewardship of the G.S. Pillay & Sons Charitable and Educational Trust. Guided by the motto, “To make every man a success and no man a failure,” the college has steadily evolved into a leading autonomous institution affiliated with Bharathidasan University and accredited with an A Grade by NAAC.

Founded in 1996 by the G.S. Pillay & Sons Charitable and Educational Trust to bring quality education to rural Nagapattinam.

Adopted the empowering motto: “To make every man a success and no man a failure.”

Achieved affiliated status with Bharathidasan University and later attained autonomous accreditation.

Earned NAAC 'A' Grade accreditation in recognition of sustained academic quality.

Gradually expanded academic offerings to include multiple UG, PG, M.Phil., and Ph.D. programs across arts, science, commerce, and management disciplines.

Transitioned from a modest rural college to a dynamic, student-centric institution fostering research, innovation, and outreach.
