Library Facilities — E.G.S. Pillay Arts & Science College - Edayathangudy G.S. Pillay Arts and Science College

Established in 1996 and located in the main building with a spacious area of 1000 Sq.m.
Houses books, competitive examination materials, journals, magazines, newspapers, CDs, back volumes, theses, and question banks for various Arts and Science disciplines.
Can accommodate around 70 members at a time.
Books arranged using the Dewey Decimal Classification System with local variation.
Digital section with 10 computers for accessing CDs and online resources.
Free internet browsing available for students and staff.

Open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on all working days.
Students/Staff must scan ID cards in the E-Gate Register and sign the gate entry register while entering and leaving.
Maintain strict silence in the library and reading rooms.
Personal books or belongings must be kept at the property counter.
Books issued per person:
- UG Courses: 2 books for 15 days
- PG Courses: 2 books for 15 days
- M.Phil/Ph.D.: 2 books for 15 days
- Teaching Staff: 4 books for 30 days
- Administrative Staff: 4 books for 30 days
Reference books, newspapers, journals, dissertations/theses are for library use only.
No marking, underlining, or tearing of books allowed.
Sign book issue and return registers when borrowing or returning books.
Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the library.
If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the borrower must replace it with a new copy or pay double the cost.
If the due date falls on a holiday, the next working day is considered the due date.
